Life Skills
Life Skills classes are provided to 6th graders of Talladega City School System. These classes focus on issues facing youth and help them learn how to address areas of concern. Emphasis is placed on bullying, self-esteem, the prevention of smoking and vaping.

FIRST Family’s Case Management/Supportive Services program assesses the needs of participants through individualized services. Case workers coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and advocate services to meet specific needs.

Parent Education
FIRST Family’s parent education program is provided in home, individual and in group settings geared to enhance parental competencies, increase parent/child bonding and strengthen nurturing skills. Child Abuse prevention, safe sleep and shaking baby are embedded in this program.

A-RESET Workforce Development
The A-RESET/Workforce Development program provides participants entry level skills needed for employment. It provides a career pathway for individuals with limited education and employment experience. The program enables participants to become more self-sufficient through participation in a wide variety of job search, training, education, and work experience activities.

With the generous support of local businesses, schools, organizations, and individual donors, Gift Giving from the Heart helps make children's Christmas dreams come true. Your contributions bring joy and hope to families, proving that the spirit of giving is alive in our community. In 2024, this initiative provided gifts to 307 children from 167 families.
